A wave of outrage has swept through Patna, Bihar, following the murder of a 10-year-old girl. The incident has ignited protests and clashes between residents and authorities. On Thursday afternoon, villagers set fires and blocked the Danapur-Maner main road near Mahinwa village. They placed bricks and drums on the road, causing a traffic jam. Police are attempting to pacify the girl’s family and the villagers, but the family is demanding that the perpetrators be brought to justice.
The body of the 10-year-old girl was discovered hanging from a tree in Maner on Thursday. City SP West Bhanu Pratap and an FSL team arrived at the scene to begin investigations. The girl was a resident of Maner Azad Nagar and had been missing since August 26th. A missing person report had been filed at the Maner police station.
The girl’s family reported that she had gone to collect wood in the west Mahinawa garden of Ratan Tola village on August 26th but never returned home.
