Enthusiasm filled the air as Rath Yatra was celebrated in various parts of Odisha, with special focus on KISS Shrivani Kshetra and Devbhoomi in Jindal Nagar. At Shrivani Kshetra, the annual festival commenced with religious fervor. The Chhera Pahanra ritual, performed by KIIT and KISS founder Achyuta Samanta, marked a significant event. Thousands of devotees participated in pulling the chariots of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra. Women devotees exclusively pulled Devi Subhadra’s chariot. The celebration included chants of ‘Jay Jagannath.’ The event will be followed by Bhajan Samaroh every evening near the Gundicha temple. Simultaneously, Jindal Nagar’s Devboomi saw the festival celebrated with traditional rituals. The procession saw chariots representing the deities. Naveen Jindal, Shallu Jindal, and Savitri Jindal, played key roles in the celebrations. Naveen Jindal performed the Pahandi Vidhi and Chhera Pahanra. He expressed his wishes for divine blessings. The Jindal Foundation also offered meals and water to devotees. The Rath Yatra was live-streamed, and celebrations in Jindal Nagar will continue until July 8.
