The Department of Revenue and Land Reforms is organizing a Revenue Mega-Campaign across the state of Bihar, scheduled to take place from August 16th to September 20th. A meeting was held on Sunday at the Revenue Survey Training Institute, Shastrinagar, with the aim of ensuring the campaign’s success. The meeting brought together representatives from the three-tier panchayat, officials, and employees’ associations.

Presiding over the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary of the Department, Deepak Kumar Singh, highlighted the pervasive issue of discrepancies in land records, affecting nearly all residents of the state. Despite the digitization of departmental services, citizens continue to face challenges related to processes like mutation and modification.

To address these issues, applications will be accepted for online corrections of land records, inheritance transfers, partition transfers, and online registration of missing land records. Teams will visit each household to provide copies of land records and application forms. Individuals who perform exceptionally well during the campaign will be recognized and rewarded at the district and state levels.

Three-tier panchayat representatives will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of the campaign, by creating awareness and distributing land record copies and application forms. Officials and staff will assist by distributing land record copies and application forms at the mouza level. The goal is to implement the campaign effectively on the ground. For this, support is being sought from the Rural Development Department, Panchayati Raj Department, Scheduled Castes and Tribes Department, and the Information and Public Relations Department. Their staff will also be involved in the teams, contributing to the successful organization of the camps.

IT Manager Anand Shankar provided detailed information about the Revenue Mega-Campaign, explaining that it would be completed in three phases: preparation, organization, and execution. He mentioned that the deadline for releasing the circle-wise micro-plan is August 12th, accessible on the department’s portal. Upon submission of forms at the camps, registration will be done immediately with names and numbers, allowing applicants to track the status of their applications. Director J. Priyadarshini delivered the welcome address.

During the meeting, suggestions were offered by various representatives, including the President of the Mukhiya Sangh, the Panchayat Secretary Sangh, Ward Member Sangh, Gram Kachahri Nyamitra Sangh, Bihar Revenue Amin Sangh, United Revenue Service Sangh, Panch Sarpanch Sangh, Bihar Administrative Service Sangh, and Bihar State Land Reforms Employee Sangh. ACS listened to the suggestions and committed to implementing necessary recommendations.

Also present were Secretary of the Department Gopal Meena, Director of Consolidation Rakesh Kumar, Special Secretary Arun Kumar Singh, Joint Secretary Anil Kumar Pandey, Ajeev Vatsraj, Additional Secretary Mahendra Pal, and Deputy Director Mona Jha, among other senior officials.
