Political activity in Bihar is intensifying. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav held a press conference on Monday, sharply criticizing the Nitish Kumar government. He leveled accusations against Minister Jibesh Mishra, alleging that Mishra was involved in a fake drug case. Yadav stated that Mishra had committed a serious offense while in office, presenting a video as evidence. The video purportedly showed the minister assaulting and verbally abusing a journalist from a backward community who questioned him about road conditions during a visit to his constituency.

Following the video, Yadav questioned the current state of law and order in Bihar. He asked if the Chief Minister was aware of the minister’s alleged involvement in the fake drug case. With the Prime Minister visiting the state, Yadav inquired if justice would be served to the assaulted journalist and if the minister would be dismissed and face an FIR. He further accused the government of harboring criminals.

In anticipation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Bihar, Yadav criticized the government’s policies and actions. He raised concerns about dilapidated roads, schools without teachers, poor health centers, and issues faced by women and youth due to inflation, poverty, and unemployment. Yadav also pointed out the poor condition of the medical college in Purnia and questioned the financial burden of the Prime Minister’s rallies on a poor state like Bihar. He reminded the Prime Minister of his past promises, including the promise to grant Bihar special state status, and accused him of making false promises to the people of Bihar again.
