Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently highlighted the significant improvements in Bihar, stating that the state’s youth are the primary beneficiaries of this positive transformation. During an interaction with BJP workers via the NaMo App, he contrasted the current peaceful environment with a past marred by Naxalite violence and widespread lawlessness. This older generation, he noted, remembers when parts of Bihar were crippled by insurgency, with incidents like railway track bombings and looting of goods trains being commonplace. Traveling after dark or reaching hospitals in emergencies was a perilous undertaking for many.

PM Modi emphasized that today’s youth, aged 18-25, have been spared from witnessing the destructive era that once plagued Bihar. He pointed to the creation of a ‘better environment’ as a direct advantage for the state’s young population. The Prime Minister also linked the state’s progress to political developments, suggesting a ‘double Diwali’ celebration. One Diwali was marked by the implementation of GST, and another is anticipated on October 20th. He expressed confidence that a further ‘Diwali’ of celebration would occur on November 14th, following the expected NDA victory in the upcoming elections, with women playing a pivotal role in this success.

Further underscoring the government’s focus on grassroots strength, PM Modi praised the ‘Mera Booth, Sabse Mazboot’ (My Booth, Strongest) initiative as crucial to the BJP’s sustained success. He drew an analogy of ‘drop by drop, the pot fills,’ illustrating how strengthening each individual booth contributes to the party’s overall achievement. Additionally, he expressed his pleasure regarding the positive reception of the Mahila Rozgar Yojana, noting that 1.20 crore women in Bihar have received Rs 10,000 each, a significant boost to female employment initiatives.
