In a sharp rebuttal to Tejashwi Yadav’s post-election narrative, BJP’s fresh face in Bihar politics, Maithili Thakur, MLA from Alinagar, reaffirmed her dedication to constituency development. Speaking in Patna on Monday, the renowned folk artist turned lawmaker outlined her vision amid political crossfire.

Tejashwi’s assertion that Bihar’s mandate favored the ‘system’ over people drew Thakur’s measured response: ‘We honor the public’s mandate with sincerity. Alinagar’s transformation remains my top priority, ongoing without pause.’ She sidestepped personal jabs, focusing on governance: ‘Development drives us daily; law enforcement is prompt. Expect strong opposition play from him.’

The conversation shifted to national BJP developments, with Thakur lauding PM Modi’s tribute to new national president Nitin Nabin. ‘This humility defines BJP. Nabin’s rise is Bihar’s pride,’ she beamed, sharing a personal anecdote of meeting him mid-flight just prior to his appointment, where he offered valuable advice.

Thakur, candid about her novice status, said, ‘Politics is new, but learning curve is steep. BJP empowers ordinary workers to leadership. No shortcuts here – a lesson from Nabin.’ Her transition from stage to assembly seat underscores the party’s inclusivity.

Budget session looms large for the young MLA. ‘Experienced peers abound, but I’ll champion Alinagar’s needs fiercely – be it schools, jobs, or sports facilities.’ On the shocking NEET student killing, she vowed, ‘Government will crack down hard; justice is certain.’

Thakur’s journey symbolizes BJP’s grassroots strength in Bihar’s dynamic political landscape.
