    Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange has announced his departure for Mumbai today to resume his hunger strike, demanding reservation for the Maratha community. The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence is scheduled to visit the Andaman Islands today. Lawyers will continue their work stoppage for the fifth consecutive day in protest against the order issued by the Delhi Lieutenant Governor on August 13th. Recruitment for constable positions across various security agencies in the Jammu division has been postponed due to adverse weather conditions. All government and private schools in Jammu will remain closed. Furthermore, all schools in Punjab will be closed from August 27th to 30th.
