India’s ambitious Project Cheetah has received a significant boost with the news of Mukhi, an Indian-born cheetah, successfully giving birth to five cubs at Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh. Wildlife officials are celebrating this as a powerful testament to the species’ successful adaptation to its new Indian environment.
The Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister announced the groundbreaking development, highlighting it as a major victory for the cheetah reintroduction program. He confirmed that both the mother cheetah and her five newborns are in excellent health.
