    A Decisive Step Towards Providing National Recognition to the Literary Consciousness of Chhattisgarh\n\nCollector Dr. Gaurav Singh Inspects Preparations for ‘Raipur Literature Festival-2026’\n\nThree-day Grand Event to be Held from January 23 to 25 at Purkhauti Muktangan, Nava Raipur\n\nRaipur, January 16, 2026: Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh and Commissioner Public Relations Dr. Ravi Mittal inspected the venue today to review preparations for the ‘Raipur Literature Festival-2026’, scheduled for January 23 to 25, 2026, at Purkhauti Muktangan, Nava Raipur. The event aims to establish a strong identity for Chhattisgarh’s rich literary and cultural heritage on the national stage. During the inspection, instructions were given to complete all arrangements including stalls, the main stage, venues for literary sessions, food zone, drinking water, parking, security, and audience facilities in a timely and systematic manner. On this occasion, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Sahitya Academy Shri Shashank Sharma, Director of Culture Department Shri Vivek Acharya, CEO of District Panchayat Raipur Shri Kumar Vishwaranjan, Municipal Commissioner Shri Vishwadeep, and other officials of the organizing committee were present.\n\n‘Adi se Anadi Tak’—A Celebration of the Living Tradition of Indian Literature\n\nThe central theme of this prestigious literary event is ‘Adi se Anadi Tak’ (From Beginning to Eternity), which highlights the continuous, vibrant, and evolving tradition of Indian literature. Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh stated that the Raipur Literature Festival is a celebration of the confluence of literature, thought, and culture. He directed that all arrangements be of high quality to ensure visitors have a smooth, safe, and memorable experience. The Collector added that the participation of children, youth, teachers, authors, and general readers would be ensured, as connecting the new generation with literature and culture is a primary objective of the festival.\n\nNava Raipur to Become a Hub for Literature, Thought, and Art\n\nFor three days, Purkhauti Muktangan will become a vibrant hub for literary dialogue, book releases, brainstorming, cultural performances, and art exhibitions. This event is considered a significant step toward placing Chhattisgarh on the national literary map.\n\nParticipation of Authors and Thinkers from Across the Country\n\nRenowned literati, poets, writers, journalists, thinkers, and young creators from various parts of the country will engage in dialogue on a single platform. The program will include literary sessions, open dialogues, discussions on contemporary subjects, and creative presentations.\n\nEmpowering Platform for Youth and Children\n\nA key feature of the festival is its focus on the new generation. Books based on poems, stories, and other works written by school children of Raipur district will be released. Platforms like Open Mic will be provided for children and youth to showcase their creative expressions. There is significant enthusiasm among the youth, with over 4,000 registrations already completed.\n\nGrand Book Fair and Author-Reader Interaction\n\nA grand book fair with approximately 40 stalls will feature books from prestigious publishers across the country. This platform will encourage direct interaction between authors and readers.\n\n‘Chanakya’ Play and Cultural Performances to be Special Attractions\n\nA special staging of the play ‘Chanakya’ will highlight Indian intellectual and theatrical traditions. Additionally, audiences will experience the state’s vibrant folk culture through folk dances, songs, and Chhattisgarhi cultural performances.\n\nPoetry Symposium and Dialogue Sessions\n\nA Kavi Sammelan (Poetry Symposium) featuring eminent poets will be organized. Open dialogue sessions with journalists, thinkers, and social activists will also take place, facilitating meaningful discussions on contemporary socio-cultural issues. During the inspection, officials and committee members shared suggestions to make the event effective and memorable. This three-day festival is set to establish Nava Raipur among the country’s prominent literary centers, bridging the gap between writers and readers while sensitizing the new generation to literature and thought.
