Action Taken: Official Suspended, Another Issued Notice for Housing Scheme Lapses

In Pendra, the district administration has taken strict action regarding the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). Secretary Rajkumar Sharma of Tendumuda Gram Panchayat has been suspended due to negligence and indifference. Furthermore, a show-cause notice has been issued to Jyoti Kashyap, the employment assistant of the same panchayat. Instructions have also been issued to immediately transfer the secretary of Thadpathra Gram Panchayat to another location. This action was taken on the instructions of District Panchayat CEO Surendra Prasad Vaid. He has clearly indicated that negligence in government schemes will not be tolerated at any level. Warning all panchayat officials, he stated that strict action will continue against those who hinder the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, a crucial scheme. The administration’s strictness has caused a stir in the panchayats, and the other panchayats have also been instructed to implement the schemes on time and with transparency.
