    Appointment orders for 18 contract medical teachers have been issued at Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Medical College, Raipur.

    In Chhattisgarh, 18 contract medical teachers have been appointed simultaneously at Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Medical College, Raipur, to improve healthcare facilities and ensure quality medical education. This is the first time that so many contract medical teachers have been appointed at the Raipur Medical College at once. The appointees are: Dr. Rumi Kumar (Assistant Professor, Obstetrics & Gynecology), Dr. Harshita Bhatia (Assistant Professor, Radiation Oncology), Dr. Kamal Kant Sahu (Assistant Professor, Forensic Medicine), Dr. Snigdha Kumari (Assistant Professor (Cardiac Anesthesia), CTVS Department), Dr. Rachna Richie Pandey (Assistant Professor (Onco-Anesthesia), Radiotherapy Department), Dr. Avinash Banjare (Onco-Anesthesia), Radiotherapy Department, Dr. Shruti Turkar (Assistant Professor (Anesthesia), Critical Care), Dr. Sandhya Verma (Senior Resident, Pathology), Dr. Rabina Yadav (Senior Resident, Pathology Department), Dr. Pranshi Chaudhary (Senior Resident, Ophthalmology), Dr. Piyushi Sav (Senior Resident, Ophthalmology), Dr. Surbhi Choubey (Senior Resident, ENT), Dr. Parul Rathi (Senior Resident, ENT), Dr. Shubhangan Mishra (Senior Resident, Obstetrics & Gynecology), Dr. Neel Pasrija (Senior Resident, Orthopedics), Vinay Mishra (Registrar, Medical Physics), Anjum Mishra (Registrar, Medical Physics), and Anurag Sanchay Kalkulevar (Registrar, Medical Physics).

    The process for the contract appointment of 3 perfusionists and 3 physician assistants is underway to start bypass surgery in the Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgery department, as per the instructions of the Health Minister. In addition, 74 sanitation workers have been appointed at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial Hospital, Raipur, including 57 ward boys and 17 sweepers.

    Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai is continuously working to provide quality medical facilities in the state. He is also taking sensitive decisions to ensure the safety of patients and their families. These decisions are strengthening security at the hospital, improving healthcare facilities, and improving the education of medical students. As part of this, 12 guards and 10 gunmen have also been deployed to strengthen security at the medical college and hospital premises, on the instructions of Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal.

    It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai had instructed Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal to deploy armed security personnel quickly to improve the security of medical colleges and hospitals.
