A bomb threat on the Chhattisgarh Sampark Kranti, which was en route from Hazrat Nizamuddin to Durg, triggered a major security alert on Friday night. Authorities responded swiftly after receiving information about a bomb on the train. The Delhi control room received a call from an unidentified individual who claimed a bomb had been placed on the train. Upon receiving the alert, a large contingent of police, including GRP and RPF personnel, rushed to Jhansi station. Fire brigades and bomb disposal squads were also deployed. The train was immediately evacuated upon arrival at the station. During the search, three unclaimed compartments were discovered in coach B-1, but no suspicious items were found. Police questioned the coach attendant. After an extensive search, the train was cleared to proceed after about an hour. Platform numbers 2 and 3 were cleared and all stalls were shut down as a precautionary measure. All passengers were deboarded. The bomb disposal squad examined the unclaimed compartments but found nothing of concern. The train resumed its journey at 12:30 am after the search.
