    In a significant development, an encounter between police forces and Naxalites has resulted in the deaths of three Naxalites along the Kanker-Dhamtari-Odisha border in Chhattisgarh. The bodies of the three Maoists have been recovered. SP I. Kalyan Elisela confirmed the incident. The deceased Maoists were carrying substantial rewards on their heads. Shravan had an 8 lakh reward, Rajesh had a 5 lakh reward, and Basanti had a 1 lakh reward from the government. A search operation is still ongoing in the area. The encounter took place in the forests of Tiyarpani, under the Kotwali police station area. It is reported that the security forces were conducting a search operation based on intelligence about the presence of Naxalites when the encounter occurred on the Kanker-Dhamtari-Odisha border.
