The couple, deeply in love, married on May 15th in an Arya Samaj temple. However, 13 days later, the bride vanished. Her husband claims her father took her, stating he was taking her to her parents’ home for a few days. The bride has not been seen since. The husband has made numerous attempts to find his wife, alleging that the police have not offered any assistance. Consequently, he has approached the High Court.

The High Court has instructed the SP to locate the woman and present her in court by August 28th. The incident occurred in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. Suraj Banjare from Bilaspur and the woman from Mungeli were friends who fell in love. Suraj married the woman on May 15, 2025, in Raipur. The couple was living together as husband and wife. The husband alleges that the woman’s family visited on May 28th and forcibly took her away.

**Search Begins After Wife Fails to Return**

Suraj says his wife was expected to return home. However, when she did not, he became worried and started looking for her. The woman’s family has not provided any information. Suraj has filed complaints with the police and repeatedly visited the police station, but claims the police did not cooperate. Frustrated, Suraj filed a habeas corpus petition in the High Court a month ago, stating that the woman’s family was withholding information and refusing to let him see her. The husband fears for his wife’s safety, saying, “I fear that these people might have killed my wife.”

The petitioner’s lawyer informed the court that the woman’s life could be in danger. Therefore, she should be recovered immediately and presented in court to determine if she is safe.

    **High Court Orders Mungeli SP**

After hearing the case, the High Court considered the matter serious. The court ordered the Mungeli SP to make every effort to find the woman and present her in court by August 28th. The court also ordered the woman’s father to be present.
