A meeting of the Telecom Advisory Committee was held in Raipur on Saturday, chaired by Raipur Lok Sabha MP and senior BJP leader Brijmohan Agrawal. Discussions centered on BSNL’s current services, future plans, and network expansion. MP Agrawal directed BSNL officials to ensure high-quality services for consumers, emphasizing the need to strengthen the network in rural and remote areas alongside urban centers.

Agrawal also advocated for prioritizing BSNL services in government institutions and offices and stressed the rapid expansion of 5G services. He advised BSNL to widely promote its products and services through effective marketing to attract more users.

During the meeting, T. K. Markam, Principal General Manager (Commercial Area Raipur) of BSNL, provided detailed information on BSNL’s 4G services, network expansion, and new initiatives. He highlighted that BSNL had launched 4G services in Naxal-affected villages where no other service provider had reached. Furthermore, over 700 schools have been provided with fiber connectivity under the Samagra Shiksha Yojana.

Markam also informed about the government’s Extended BharatNet scheme, aiming to establish 15 million Bharat Fiber connections across the country. He expressed gratitude for the support provided by MP Agrawal in this regard. Other members of the Telecom Advisory Committee and senior BSNL officials were also present at the meeting.
