    Raipur. Severe cold has started in Chhattisgarh from the first day of the year. It is extremely cold in many districts including the capital. Jagdalpur was the coldest last night. There is good snowfall in North India. Due to this, dry winds are coming from the North (Himalayas), due to which the cold wave is starting once again in the state. The mercury has dropped 3-4 degrees in the last 4 days. The Meteorological Department has issued a 2-day cold wave alert in the state. There will be dense fog in many districts on 2nd and 3rd January. The temperature will increase again after January 4.

    Temperature rise and rain alert

    According to meteorologist HP Chandra, a western disturbance will reach the state on January 4, which may cause a slight increase in temperature. Along with this, there is also a possibility of rain in some parts of the state. The weather will clear after the disturbance passes. However, the temperature may drop again from January 7. Winter season will continue in the state till February 12, due to which fluctuations in temperature may be seen for the next 42 days.

    Raipur: Maximum temperature 28°C, minimum temperature 14.1°C Bilaspur: Maximum temperature 25°C, minimum temperature 13.7°C Pendra Road: Maximum temperature 23.02°C, minimum temperature 11.8°C Ambikapur: Maximum temperature 23.5°C, minimum temperature 7.5°C Jagdalpur: Maximum temperature 28.9°C, Minimum temperature 6.6°C Durg: Maximum temperature 30.02°C, minimum temperature 14.7°C Rajnandgaon: maximum temperature 27.5°C, minimum temperature 12°C

    Weather in Raipur today

    The weather will be clear in Raipur today, and there may be a slight drop in the temperature. In some districts including Raipur, the day temperature will still be around 28 degrees, while in Durg it has crossed 30 degrees. The feeling of cold may reduce during the day, but the cold will remain at night. The night temperature in Raipur is likely to remain around 14 degrees.
