In a shocking incident in Korba district of Chhattisgarh, an ex-boyfriend has stabbed his former girlfriend in the chest. The incident occurred on Saturday, June 7th, in Dingapur Riksha Para, when the victim and her mother went to the house of the ex-boyfriend, Rahul Sarathi, 19, to ask him to stay away from their daughter. A physical altercation ensued, during which the mother was also injured while trying to protect her daughter.
The case is under the jurisdiction of the Rampur police station. Rahul used to frequently visit the girl’s house. He would often find fault and physically assault her based on unfounded suspicions. After a year of the relationship, the girl broke up with him due to his behavior. However, Rahul continued to pursue her. The victim stated that Rahul had threatened to harm her and her mother even after being released from jail.
According to the minor girl, Rahul frequently came to her house, hurled abuses, and assaulted her. He would say, “You cannot belong to anyone else, and I won’t let you. Because of you, I am being defamed in the neighborhood and at home, so you cannot leave me.” She further revealed that Rahul had previously attacked her face, resulting in stitches above her eye. This time, the attack resulted in stitches on her chest.
Rahul was unemployed. He has also threatened to harm the victim again after his release from jail. He used to threaten that she could not belong to anyone else. Rahul’s father works in the health department as a government employee. The victim already has several injury marks on her body. A case has been registered at the police station based on the family’s complaint, and the police have initiated an investigation.
