    A significant proposal from the Commercial Tax (Registration) Department was approved at a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai. The proposal addresses the determination of market values for agricultural land in rural areas of the state, aiming to rectify inconsistencies related to farmers, those affected by land acquisition, and revenue matters. The calculation of market value for rural agricultural land will be done on a per-hectare basis, removing the previous system of calculating rates for land parcels up to 500 square meters.
