The Chhattisgarh government has revised the limits for discounts offered under the Half Electricity Bill scheme. Instead of a discount on up to 400 units of electricity consumed monthly, the scheme will now provide a 50% rebate on consumption up to 100 units per month. The government stated that approximately 31 lakh families, which is about 70% of the 45 lakh domestic consumers in the state, do not exceed a monthly consumption of 100 units.
