In an effort to curb the rising number of road accidents, the Balod district administration in Chhattisgarh has implemented a new initiative. All petrol pumps in the district have been instructed to deny petrol to motorcyclists who are not wearing helmets. This measure is aimed at enhancing road safety and encouraging helmet usage among riders. Police officials are actively involved in educating the public about the importance of wearing helmets and are taking both persuasive and punitive actions to ensure compliance.
