    The Chhattisgarh government has announced significant relief for small businesses, with a decision to waive VAT liabilities up to ₹25,000 for dues older than 10 years. This move is expected to benefit over 40,000 traders in the state, easing their financial burden. The cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, approved two crucial bills: the Chhattisgarh Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill 2025 and the Chhattisgarh Arrears Tax, Interest and Penalty Settlement (Amendment) Bill 2025, which will be presented in the monsoon session of the assembly. These bills aim to streamline business operations and promote ease of doing business.
