Addressing the Chhattisgarh Industry Dialogue-2, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai welcomed investors and highlighted the state’s new industrial policy, which focuses on employment and economic prosperity. He emphasized the transformation of Chhattisgarh from its Naxal-affected past into a dynamic industrial and technological hub. The state is now a prime investment destination. The Chief Minister announced that the logistics policy would promote the establishment of dry ports and inland container depots, providing modern, affordable storage and distribution facilities for industries, businesses, and farmers, thereby boosting trade and exports by reducing logistics costs.
He mentioned the approval of the Chhattisgarh State Logistics Policy-2025, which will be a milestone in establishing the state as a national logistics hub. Chhattisgarh’s strategic geographical location makes it a central point for national connectivity. This policy aims to attract national and international investment in the logistics and e-commerce sectors, strengthen export infrastructure, and expand affordable storage facilities.
The Jan Vishwas Bill will simplify business and civic life by removing unnecessary complexities. The non-criminalization of certain legal provisions will relieve businesses from court cases and reduce judicial expenses. The government is striving to create an environment for investors, industrialists, and citizens with minimal obstacles and maximum development opportunities. Significant structural reforms implemented in the past year and a half have improved the ease and speed of doing business. The investment climate has strengthened, leading to investment proposals worth over five and a half lakh crore rupees in just six months, a record in Chhattisgarh’s industrial history. Investors showed enthusiasm in investors’ summits held in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. Chhattisgarh attracted investments of Rs 1,63,749 crore in the financial year 2025, which is 3.71 percent of India’s total investment.
Chief Minister Sai highlighted the rapid allocation of land and issuance of NOC to Polymatech for semiconductor investment, enabling the company to begin a Rs 1,143 crore project with a target of producing 10 billion chips annually. The goal is to establish Nava Raipur as the Silicon Valley of Chhattisgarh. The Single Window System 2.0 has been developed for investors, integrating online applications, departmental approvals, and subsidy distribution. All industry approvals will be available with a single click.
The approval of a Rs 3,500 crore railway line from Raoghat to Jagdalpur was announced. Surveys have begun for the rail line from Kothagudem to Kirandul, and the Kharsia-Parmalkasa rail line will connect industrial centers. Waterways will commence from Sambalpur to Nava Raipur, and air cargo services are active. Chhattisgarh is home to India’s first AI data center park. Pharma hubs and Medicity are being developed in the pharma sector. Special grants are available in textiles and pharmaceuticals.
Bastar and Surguja are witnessing new development stories. Bastar, once affected by Naxalism, is realizing the dream of a developed Bastar. Skill development for 90,000 youths and employment for over 40,000 have been provided, with special investment incentives. Registration of the Bastar Dussehra is underway for international recognition, and the Tirathgarh Glass Bridge and Bastar Tourism Circuit are being developed. Provisions for royalty reimbursement and subsidies have been made for tribal entrepreneurs.
The new industrial policy outlines a roadmap to create over 5 lakh jobs in the next five years. Chhattisgarh will become the fastest-growing economy in the next decade in sectors like textiles, pharma, AI, defense, energy, and medical tourism.
The Chief Minister urged all entrepreneurs to invest in Chhattisgarh, participate in its development with all the facilities and trust, and ensure Chhattisgarh’s leading role in building a developed India.
The government is committed to finding a permanent solution to the Naxal problem. Under the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the extensive development and security operations in the state are yielding positive results. The government aims to ensure the complete eradication of the Naxal problem by March 2026 to initiate peace, stability, and development in all affected areas.
