    Police in the Mungeli district of Chhattisgarh have arrested and jailed a village head accused of demanding sex and harassing a woman. The victim reported that the village head also threatened to kill her when she resisted. According to the information, a woman from Jagtakapa village filed a complaint at the police station on August 31, 2025. The victim stated that on the evening of August 30, around 6 p.m., she was alone at home when the village head, Indal Gond, entered her house in a drunken state. The accused made indecent gestures towards the woman and demanded sex. When she protested, he threatened to kill her. Acting on the instructions of Superintendent of Police Bhojram Patel, the police took the matter seriously and arrested Indal Gond, the 55-year-old village head, and sent him to jail.
