    Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai addressed the inauguration ceremony of a newly installed Buddha statue at the hotel ground complex in Mainpat, Surguja district. He highlighted the deep roots of Buddhist traditions in the state, emphasizing the government’s commitment to development while embracing the message of love, peace, and compassion as taught by Lord Buddha. The Chief Minister paid respects to the statue and wished for the well-being of the state’s residents.

    In his address, CM Sai expressed gratitude to the Tibetan community for the invitation to the auspicious event. He noted the presence of numerous sites in Chhattisgarh where Lord Buddha is worshipped, and mentioned Sirpur as a unique example of the state’s inclusive culture, where Buddhist, Jain, and Sanatan traditions coexist.

    Remembering the 90th birthday of the Dalai Lama, the Chief Minister said that his life is a living symbol of the principles of compassion, love, and peace of Lord Buddha. He stated that the Dalai Lama’s message is a source of new hope and positivity for today’s world. CM Sai mentioned that global leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, have extended their birthday wishes to the Dalai Lama, demonstrating the profound impact of Lord Buddha’s ideas on global life.

    CM Sai described Mainpat as a place of natural beauty and cultural diversity, exciting tourists. He said that the state government is committed to the overall development of tourism. The state’s new industrial policy gives special priority to tourism, and special incentives will be provided to those starting home stay facilities in areas like Mainpat.

    On the request of the Tibetan Cooperative Society, the Chief Minister announced Rs 10 lakh for the construction of a CC road from Sela Resort to the Buddhist temple in Mainpat and Rs 20 lakh for the construction of a shed at the ancient Buddhist temple. CM Sai also participated in a tree plantation program during the event. The Chief Minister was warmly welcomed according to traditional Tibetan customs.
