Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai emphasized that providing banking facilities in the remote rural areas of the state and district is a priority for the government, aiming to make financial services accessible to farmers, traders, and citizens within their villages. He stated that banking services not only stimulate economic activities but also form the basis for the effective implementation of government schemes.

Chief Minister Sai virtually inaugurated new branches of the Chhattisgarh State Rural Bank in the villages of Ara (Jashpur block), Kudekela (Gharjiabathan block), and Chichli (Bagicha block) in Jashpur district from the Chief Minister’s camp office. During the event, he also released the 12th annual report of the Chhattisgarh State Rural Bank.

It is estimated that more than 44,000 rural residents will benefit. Addressing the program virtually, Chief Minister Sai mentioned that the opening of three new branches of the Chhattisgarh State Rural Bank in Jashpur district will directly benefit approximately 44,000 people from 23 gram panchayats and 48 dependent villages. Villagers will no longer need to travel far for banking tasks, saving both time and money.

Additionally, the government highlighted that Atal Digital Suvidha Kendras (Digital Service Centers) have been established in 268 panchayats of Jashpur district, facilitating transactions of approximately 15 crore rupees to date. The plan is to launch these service centers in all the panchayats of the district by the upcoming Panchayat Day. These centers will provide villagers with banking, insurance, and services related to government schemes within their villages.
