A shocking incident has come to light in Bijapur district headquarters. The bodies of a young man and woman were discovered hanging from a tree in the forest of village Turnam. Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene and, after conducting a panchnama, sent the two bodies for post-mortem examination, initiating an investigation into the matter.

The bodies were emitting a foul odor, suggesting they had been hanging for some time. According to local villagers, both bodies were suspended from the tree. Bijapur Kotwali Police Station in-charge Durgesh Sharma stated that the case appears to be related to a love affair. A video from a mobile phone has also been obtained by the police related to the case.

The TI further added that the bodies have been handed over to the families after the post-mortem. The girl was a minor and a resident of Jangala. The young man, Shankar Mandavi, was a resident of Turanggur in the Kondagaon police station area of Bastar. Bijapur police are investigating the case.
