The Chhattisgarh administrative department has been conducting transfers. A peculiar case has emerged from Balod, where a deceased engineer was transferred. The department transferred Sub-Engineer Yoganand Som, who had passed away two months prior. This has raised serious questions about the department’s negligence.

The Urban Administration and Development Department issued a transfer list that included Yoganand Som, who was stationed at the Dalli Rajhara municipality. The transfer moved him to the Tumgaon Nagar Panchayat. However, Som had died two months ago. The department failed to update his records and files, issuing the transfer order as if he were still alive.

This incident has sparked criticism of the department’s work practices. The administrative error came to light after the discovery of the transfer. The department has since amended the transfer order. The event highlights the extent of carelessness within the system.
