In a significant operation in Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur district, security forces engaged in an encounter, resulting in the neutralization of six Naxals. According to police officials, the encounter took place in the Abujhmad area of the district. IG P. Sundarraj reported that the joint teams of security forces launched an anti-Naxal operation based on intelligence regarding the presence of Maoists in Abujhmad. The encounter, which began Friday afternoon, involved intermittent clashes between security forces and Maoists. The search operation has led to the recovery of six Naxal bodies, along with AK-47 and SLR rifles, various other weapons, explosives, and daily use items. The operation is still underway, and authorities have stated that detailed information will be released upon its completion. This follows a trend of successful operations against Naxals in Chhattisgarh, resulting in the elimination of several top leaders and weakening the Naxal organization.
