A fierce encounter transpired between security forces and Naxals in the Partapur area. During the intense clash, the forces neutralized a Naxal. This has been confirmed by SP I.K. Elesela.

According to sources, troops had been conducting search operations in the forests for the past two days, acting on intelligence regarding the presence of senior Naxal leaders in the area. When the forces approached, the Naxals initiated gunfire. In a retaliatory response, the security forces effectively countered, resulting in the elimination of one Naxal.

A weapon was also recovered from the scene. There is a possibility of more Naxals being injured or killed.

Information indicates that the encounter took place in the forests of Alanar. The slain Naxal was identified as Masa, a member of Company Number 5, and carried a reward of 8 lakh rupees.
