Former Governor Satyapal Malik has passed away. He was 78 years old. Malik had been unwell for an extended period and breathed his last on August 5th at RML Hospital in Delhi. Initially a prominent leader within the BJP, he later became a vocal critic. He had been admitted to Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Delhi since May 2025, where his condition was critical. His passing has evoked a wave of mourning across the nation. He was admitted to the ICU due to complications from a severe urinary tract infection and kidney failure. The hospital announced his demise this afternoon. This comes a day after the passing of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren, who died in Delhi’s Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on Monday.
