Performances included folk dances like Gedi dance and Raut Nacha by artists from various regions of Chhattisgarh. Sawan Jhula (swing) and Savanahi Ramayana recitation were also major attractions. This gathering served not only as a cultural event but also as a vibrant celebration of the state’s folk traditions and heritage.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai participated in the event and performed a puja of agricultural tools and implements, a central tradition of the Hareli festival. An extensive exhibition of both traditional and modern agricultural tools was also set up, aiming to introduce the new generation to Chhattisgarh’s agricultural practices and technological advancements. Traditional games and folk art exhibitions for children were also part of the celebration. Hareli was presented as a confluence of environment, tradition, and progress.
