Continuous heavy rainfall over the past 48 hours has caused widespread devastation in the Bastar division. Roads are flooded, bridges have collapsed, and rivers are overflowing. Numerous villages have been completely submerged. With bridges and roads destroyed, contact with the district headquarters has been severed, prompting a state of high alert among local authorities. In response to the severity of the situation, the army has been deployed for rescue operations. Helicopters from the Indian Air Force are conducting constant flights, delivering relief supplies and evacuating stranded individuals to safer locations. The Chief Minister, currently on a foreign trip, has expressed concern over the conditions in Bastar.
