    Continuous heavy rainfall in central Chhattisgarh has significantly impacted both daily life and rail transportation. The Durg railway station is submerged, with water covering the tracks, leading to disruptions in train services and causing considerable inconvenience to passengers.

    According to the weather department, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in some parts of central Chhattisgarh on July 10th, although the intensity of the rainfall is expected to decrease from July 11th.

    Over the past 24 hours, the region has recorded an average rainfall of 13.2 mm. The total rainfall so far has reached 343.6 mm, which is 15% above normal. Durg district experienced 13 cm of rainfall in the past day, leading to the release of water from the Mongra dam and causing the Shivnath River to overflow. This has raised the risk of waterlogging in several villages and urban areas.

    Regional Rainfall Details:

    * Balod: 12 cm
    * Ahiwara: 10 cm
    * Dhamdha, Mandirhasoud, Gandai: 9 cm
    * Borai, Arjunda: 8 cm
    * Dharsinwa, Doundilohara, Bhakhara, Patan, Bhilai: 7 cm
    * Raipur, Mana, Khairagarh: 6 cm
    * Saraiapali, Arang, Ambagarh Chowki, Pamgarh, Kharora, Gobra Nawapara, Gunderdehi, Chhuriya, Mohla, Rajnandgaon: 5 cm

    While the rains are beneficial for fields and water sources, they are also causing considerable damage to daily life and transportation. Railway authorities are working to drain the water and normalize rail traffic.
