The High Court has taken a strong stance on the increasing number of road accidents in Chhattisgarh. A division bench comprising Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha and Justice Ravindra Kumar Agrawal, during a hearing on a public interest litigation (PIL) on Wednesday, expressed displeasure over liquor shops operating along the highways and encroachment by roadside eateries. The court’s concern stems from the unsafe conditions created by these establishments, which contribute to accidents. The court has issued notices to NTPC and SECL, seeking their response on the matter.
