A major fraud has come to light in the PWD sub-engineer examination in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. A student inside the examination hall was aided by her friend outside, who was sitting in an auto-rickshaw and using gadgets to help her answer the questions. An application named Annu Surya, who was taking the English medium exam, had concealed a spy camera in her inner garment and wore an earphone. Her friend, Anuradha, who was in an auto outside the exam center, was providing answers via a walkie-talkie and a tablet, assisting in the cheating.

The incident took place at Ramdulare Government Swami Atmanand School in Sarkanda, Bilaspur, where the sub-engineer recruitment exam was underway on Sunday. During the exam, a young woman was caught cheating. The method of cheating was so sophisticated that the exam controller was astonished. The young woman had a camera in her inner garment connected to her friend outside, who was helping her cheat.

Several electronic gadgets were recovered. The auto driver became suspicious of the young woman’s behavior outside. After this, the auto driver informed the police and NSUI workers. After receiving the information, the workers reached the spot, identified the young woman and the candidate present at the examination center, and handed them over to the police.

Exam center president P. Mandal said that spy cameras, earphones, tablets, and walkie-talkies had been seized, through which answers were being relayed. The police have taken both into custody. Both the young women are said to be from Jashpur, the home district of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai. Police are questioning both the young women.

Student leaders created a ruckus. This incident of cheating has raised questions about the examination system. NSUI student leaders are demanding that an FIR be registered against the two young women involved in the cheating case. During this, student leaders created a ruckus at the examination center and raised slogans against the government. They say that there has been a large-scale गड़बड़ी in the cheating. Therefore, this exam should be canceled.
