Chief Minister unveiled the Silver Jubilee Medal of Chhattisgarh Police

Chief Minister had announced the award of the Silver Jubilee Medal to the State Police Force on the occasion of Republic Day

Recognition for 25 years of Chhattisgarh Police Force’s strengthening law and order and exceptional courage in anti-Naxal operations

Raipur January 28, 2026// Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai today released the Silver Jubilee Medal dedicated to the Chhattisgarh Police Force at the Police Headquarters, New Raipur. Extending his best wishes to the police force, he said that this medal will be an indelible mark of the police’s indomitable courage, valor, and sacrifice in maintaining peace and security in the state. It is noteworthy that on the occasion of Republic Day on January 26, the award of the Silver Jubilee Medal to the State Police Force was announced, and this medal has been released today with prompt action.

Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that in the last 25 years, the Chhattisgarh Police Force has shown exceptional courage in strengthening law and order and in anti-Naxal operations, making the supreme sacrifice. He said that this medal will always keep their dedication memorable.

Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that this medal assimilates the identity of Chhattisgarh’s soil, culture, and tradition. The medal will be round in shape and silver in color, with an embossed image of the Sal tree on the front and the Hill Myna on the back, and it will be worn with a ribbon. It will be worn on the left side of the uniform, above the pocket, in order of precedence after the Ashoka Chakra, Kirti Chakra, Vir Chakra, President’s Vishisht Seva Medal, and President’s Sarahaniya Seva Medal.
The Hill Myna inscribed on the medal symbolizes vigilance, communication, fearlessness, connection with local culture, and the team spirit of the police force, while the Sal tree conveys messages of strength, resilience, longevity, protection, natural balance, and impactful contribution even in silence. Like the revered Sal tree in the Bastar and Surguja regions of Chhattisgarh, this medal will also honor the dedication, service, and commitment of the police force to society and will be a symbol of the glorious tradition of Chhattisgarh Police.
