Man Murdered in Chhattisgarh Over Alleged Affair with Friend’s Girlfriend

A young man in Nava Raipur, Chhattisgarh, was murdered by his friends over suspicions of a romantic relationship with a girl from one of the friend’s families. The victim, identified as Dinesh Das Manikpuri, also known as Model, was allegedly lured to a stone quarry, plied with alcohol, and then attacked with a knife. The two accused, Sohan Kandara and Saheb Das Manikpuri, have been arrested by the police. The incident occurred on July 20th, with the suspects initially denying any knowledge of the victim’s whereabouts after the crime. The police investigation led to the discovery of the body and the subsequent arrests. Another incident of a man being beaten to death by his friends in the Saddhu Bairagi area was also reported.
