    Law students in India who wish to practice as lawyers must pass the All India Bar Examination (AIBE). The Bar Council of India (BCI) has issued a notice for AIBE 20. The registration process will commence on September 29, 2025. Interested candidates can apply online through the official website, allindiabarexamination.com, within the stipulated time frame. According to the schedule, the last date for registration is October 28, 2025. The examination will be conducted by the Bar Council of India on November 30, 2025. Key dates include: Registration Start: September 29, 2025; Online Payment Start: September 29, 2025; Registration Deadline: October 28, 2025; Payment Deadline: October 31, 2025; Admit Card Release: November 15, 2025; Exam Date: November 30, 2025. Eligibility for AIBE 20 requires candidates to be law graduates with a 3 or 5-year LLB program, or final-year students, without any backlogs. They can register through the official portal. The AIBE website states, “Any candidate, whether currently a student or a graduate, studying or passed out from a university or college which is not recognized/approved by the Bar Council of India, shall not be eligible for AIBE. It is the responsibility of the candidates to ensure that their educational institution is duly recognized by the BCI.” Application fees for AIBE registration 2025 are Rs 3,560 for general and OBC candidates and Rs 2,560 for SC and ST candidates.
