Man’s Brutal Crime: Rape, 51 Stab Wounds, and a Life Sentence

A man in the Korba district committed a horrific crime, raping his girlfriend and then brutally murdering her by stabbing her 51 times with a screwdriver. The motive for the murder was the victim’s communication with another man. The accused, a bus conductor, arrived in Chhattisgarh by flight from Gujarat. Following the heinous acts of rape and murder, the court sentenced the man to life imprisonment. The court also imposed a fine of 75,000 rupees, with an additional 18 months of imprisonment if the fine is not paid.
