The monsoon has once again picked up pace in Chhattisgarh. Along with thunderstorms and lightning, heavy rainfall is occurring. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in 14 districts of Chhattisgarh today, Thursday. These districts include Raipur, Dhamtari, Bilaspur, Balrampur, Surajpur, Jashpur, Mahasamund, and Gariaband. People in these 14 districts have been advised to remain cautious as there is a possibility of strong thunderstorms and lightning strikes. According to the IMD, the monsoon will weaken in South Chhattisgarh from today. As a result, the weather in South Chhattisgarh will remain normal. Light to moderate rainfall can be expected in North Chhattisgarh for the next five days. The capital, Raipur, has been overcast since Thursday morning. Drizzling has also been observed in many places, which has caused a decrease in the temperature of the capital.
