    The monsoon season is currently displaying its intensity across India. Incidents of cloudbursts and landslides are occurring in the mountainous regions. Rivers, overflowing with water, are causing havoc. Heavy rainfall continues in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Jammu, Kathua, Bhadarwah, Udhampur, and Batote have experienced torrential downpours. Himachal Pradesh has seen rainfall in Kangra, Kullu, Manali, Mandi, and Dharamshala. Dharamshala and Mandi recorded 100 millimeters of rain in just 24 hours.

    The national capital, Delhi, and the NCR regions have received light to moderate rainfall in the past 24 hours. The weather department anticipates rain and thunderstorms today. Furthermore, according to the weather department, the rain and thunderstorms in Delhi are not expected to cease anytime soon. Delhi is likely to experience rain and thunderstorms until August 30th. Showers or thunderstorms are possible on August 31st and September 1st.

    **Rainfall Subsides in UP**

    Uttar Pradesh experienced good and heavy rainfall in the recent past. According to the weather department’s forecast, heavy rainfall is not expected in the state in the coming days. There is a possibility of light rain and showers with thunderstorms in some parts of western and eastern UP today, but the weather department has not predicted heavy rainfall. Heavy rainfall is not expected in any part of the state on August 28th and 29th.

    **Where Will It Rain in the Next 24 Hours?**

    Light rain is expected in Western Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Saurashtra, and Kutch during the next 24 hours. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in coastal Karnataka, central Maharashtra, and Lakshadweep. Moderate to heavy rainfall is possible in Punjab, Haryana, and southeastern Rajasthan. Light to moderate rain is expected in Uttarakhand, Northeast India, and Andaman-Nicobar. Light to moderate rain with heavy showers at isolated places is expected in Telangana, South Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Marathwada, Gujarat region, Konkan-Goa, Odisha, and North Andhra coast. Moderate to heavy rainfall is likely in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.
