A family in Korba, Chhattisgarh, experienced a tragedy after a chicken party. The family members fell ill shortly after consuming the meal, suffering from vomiting and diarrhea. The mother-in-law and her son-in-law died during treatment. Three others are in critical condition. The incident occurred in the village of Korkoma under the Rajgamar police station. The special feast was organized to welcome the son-in-law. The investigation revealed that the incident was a case of food poisoning. It’s suspected that the liquor served at the party was also poisonous. 60-year-old Rajmeen Bai’s house in Shivnagar Chauhan Para was the venue. Her son-in-law, Devsingh, arrived with his wife, Chamel, from Bhaisama Dadarkala on Thursday night. Rajmeen Bai, her son Rajkumar, and neighbor Rajaraj hosted the chicken party. The mother-in-law fell ill first, followed by the son-in-law. Both died during treatment; the others remain in critical condition.

Separately, in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, about three dozen people fell ill after eating chaat from a street vendor. They were admitted to a primary health center, and some children were sent to a district medical facility for treatment. The villagers reported vomiting and diarrhea within hours of consuming the chaat. The village head informed the police.
