MP Brijmohan Agarwal to Meet GM on June 30 to Discuss Railway Development in Raipur

Raipur MP Brijmohan Agarwal is scheduled to hold a crucial meeting with South East Central Railway Bilaspur General Manager Tarun Prakash on June 30, 2025, at the Divisional Railway Manager’s office in Raipur. The meeting will focus on passenger amenities and railway development projects. Discussions will include the implementation of various demands raised by the MP in the previous year. Notably, special trains were operated during festivals like Kumbh, Holi, Chhath, and Diwali. Additionally, the virtual inauguration of renovated stations at Urkura, Bhilai, and Bhanupratappur under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme was carried out by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Further, the meeting will address the provision of emergency doctor services at Raipur railway station, for which the ninth tender has been issued. Other topics include the installation of a solar plant in the WRS colony, the completion of the Rajim goods shed by March 2026, and the re-introduction of discontinued train services. Proposals for the development of Sarona station as a suburban station, police verification of parking contractors, the construction of a garden at Kharun Rail Vihar, and the expansion of One Station One Product stalls will also be discussed. Railway officials anticipate that the meeting will result in significant decisions aimed at resolving pending issues in the Raipur parliamentary constituency.
