    In Balod district, Chhattisgarh, two-wheeler riders without helmets will be denied petrol and other fuel purchases at petrol pumps. This strict measure has been implemented by the district administration and police to curb the rising number of road accidents. Collector Divya Umesh Mishra and Superintendent of Police Yogesh Patel held a meeting with petrol pump operators and two-wheeler vendors in the district to issue the necessary directives. Collector Mishra emphasized the paramount importance of ensuring the safety of every citizen’s life. She highlighted that the success of this initiative requires the involvement and social participation of all segments of society. Recognizing the crucial role of petrol pump operators and two-wheeler vendors, she urged them to actively participate in this important public welfare program. The meeting was attended by the Chief Executive Officer of the Zila Panchayat, Sunil Chandravanshi, Additional Collector Ajay Kishore Lakra, District Excise Officer Yogesh Dwivedi, police and other officials, along with petrol pump operators and two-wheeler vendors from the district.
