Chhattisgarh’s Balod district witnessed a transformative moment as retired IAS NP Singh, chairman of the Indian Education Board, performed the groundbreaking for Tathagata Global Gurukul in isolated Bheja Jungli village. Alongside GR Rana, the event by Jakwar Foundation and Tathagata Trust united hundreds of Adivasi villagers in hope for better tomorrows.

Traditional pujas preceded the main ritual, with homage paid to local deities and freedom fighter Veer Narayan Singh. Singh passionately outlined the gurukul’s goal: bridging the urban-rural education divide. He stressed that premium schooling, complete with moral values and life skills, is essential for national progress.

Modeled after elite city schools, the facility offers free comprehensive programs including leadership training, defense exam prep, job-oriented courses, and self-employment skills for women. Talented yet economically challenged students will receive every opportunity to excel.

Slated for February start, the project culminates in a grand opening tied to regional festivals. Singh foresee a pipeline of top civil servants emerging from these hills. Serving over a dozen villages, the initiative has ignited optimism in the jungle belt. Attendees included key panchayat members, underscoring community backing for this educational revolution.
