A shocking murder case has emerged from Chhatoud village in the Tilda-Nevra area of Raipur district. A newly married pregnant woman was found dead in her room under suspicious circumstances. Police have arrested the husband in connection with the case.

The post-mortem report revealed that the woman died of asphyxiation, and the nature of the death was homicidal. Taking the gravity of the incident seriously, Deputy Inspector General of Police and Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Lal Umed Singh directed Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Kirtan Rathore, City Superintendent of Police (Vidhan Sabha) Virendra Chaturvedi, and Tilda-Nevra Police Station In-charge Inspector Ramakant Tiwari to swiftly investigate the case and arrest the unknown perpetrator. The police managed to arrest the accused within 24 hours.

The investigation revealed that the murderer was the deceased, Suruj Nirmalkar’s, husband, Pradum Nirmalkar. The reason for the murder provided by the accused is deeply concerning.
