    The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, will disburse a total of ₹152 crore 84 lakh 62 thousand to 141,879 eligible insured farmers in Chhattisgarh under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) and the Weather-Based Crop Insurance Scheme. This disbursement will be made via the nationwide Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. The payment includes ₹10 crore 25 lakh 97 thousand for 33,943 eligible farmers from the Kharif season 2024 and ₹142 crore 58 lakh 65 thousand for 107,936 eligible farmers from the Rabi season 2024-25. The payment under the PMFBY will be made on August 11th, through a nationwide DBT-based automated system at a program in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, chaired by Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
