A devastating incident near Darbha on NH 30 in the Kanger Ghati National Park area of Jagdalpur resulted in the deaths of four family members. The deceased included a husband, wife, and their two children. The accident occurred when the family’s Swift Dzire car was swept away by floodwaters. The family, hailing from Tamil Nadu, was visiting Bastar. The driver of the car managed to survive by swimming to safety, but the four family members were trapped in the strong current.
