Security forces have achieved another significant victory in the ongoing anti-Naxal operation in the National Park area of Bijapur district, Chhattisgarh. Following the elimination of Bhaskar, a Naxal carrying a bounty of 45 lakhs, two more Naxals have been killed. Automatic weapons were also recovered alongside the bodies. The Superintendent of Police, Bijapur, confirmed the development.

This marks a series of successes for security forces in the area. Earlier, they had taken down Sudhakar, a Naxal leader with a bounty of one crore, and Bhaskar. In total, four Naxals, including two top commanders, have been neutralized in this operation.

The morale of the security forces is high, dealing a severe blow to the Naxal organizations. On Friday, security forces killed Naxal leader Bhaskar alias Mailarapu Adellu during the anti-Naxal operation. An AK-47 rifle, along with other explosives, weapons, and ammunition, were recovered from the site. Bhaskar was a resident of Adilabad district, Telangana, and was the secretary of the CPI (Maoist) Telangana State Committee’s Mancherial-Komaram Bheem (MKB) division. Mandugula Bhaskar Rao was a member of the Telangana State Committee’s Special Zonal Committee (SZC). He was 45 years old and a resident of Urumadala village, Adilabad district, Telangana. Earlier, on June 5, 2025, the body of Central Committee member Gautam alias Sudhakar was recovered with an AK-47 rifle. The continuous successes have boosted the morale of the security forces and dealt a heavy blow to the Naxal organizations.
