The University Grants Commission (UGC) has publicized a list of 54 private universities across several states that have failed to provide the required information under Section 13 of the UGC Act, 1956. These universities neglected to either submit the information to the commission or make it public on their websites. The list includes three prominent private universities from Chhattisgarh: Anjanya University, Raipur; Dev Sanskriti University, Sankara Kumhari; and Maharishi Management and Technology University, Bilaspur.

The commission had directed all higher education institutions on June 10, 2024, to upload information related to Public Self-Disclosure on their homepage to provide transparent information to students and parents. Additionally, they were required to submit necessary documents in a prescribed format to the commission for inspection. Despite these instructions, the mentioned universities disregarded the directives, raising concerns about potential regulatory action. The commission had previously sent reminders via email and online meetings, but after receiving no satisfactory responses, these universities have now been publicly identified.
